17th Annual Methuen Festival of Trees: November 20 - December 4, 2010

Tree Awards

Each year the Festival appoints an independent panel of judges who judge the trees in 10 categories:

  • Most Beautiful
  • Most Creative and/or Unique
  • Most Traditional
  • Best Mini Tree
  • Best Children’s Theme
  • Best Tree Done by Children
  • Best Use of Lighting
  • Best Tree Top
  • Best Under Tree Display
  • Best Use of Theme

In addition, an 11th award is given to the tree which is, in the opinion of the judges, the Best of the Festival.

Our judges are chosen for the expertise in floral design and/or their professional artistic talent. The Festival of Trees is serious in it s effort to assure that all judging is done without knowledge of the person, group or organization presenting the trees.

Our rules stipulate that judges are not allowed to be from Methuen, MA or have an affiliation with a person, group or organization that donates a tree to the Festival of Trees.

Our trees are judged anonymously so that the donors of all trees are not known to the judges. Only the name of the tree (not the donor of the tree) is known to the judges so that they may judge the trees according to the categories given them.

The following are the 2009 Tree Award Winners. The Festival Committee believes EVERY tree is a winner so we congratulate ALL tree donors for their outstanding creations and donations to the Festival.
