When
is the tree raffle being held?
The tree raffle will be held on December 6, 2008. (PLEASE NOTE
- Weather can sometimes play an important role. The raffle time
is subject to change, if there is bad weather. It can only start
once all ticket data has been entered into the database.) Contact
us if you have any questions.
Can
anyone watch the raffle?
Yes, you are welcome to be present.
How
do I know if I won a tree in the raffle?
You will receive a phone call from a Festival committee member
on Saturday.
Do
I have to be present to win?
No, you do not need to be present. However, the Festival committee
member must be able to reach you by phone on SATURDAY or be
able to leave a message for you on an answering machine. If
there is no answer or no way to leave a message, the next person
whose number was drawn will be contacted. (If you have Caller
ID and no answering machine, do not assume you can come pick
up a tree. We must be able to leave a message.) Be sure your
message box is not full.
If
I am not at home on Saturday, December 6th, and I have no answering
machine. What happens, if I win?
We must be able to reach you somehow. When you fill out the
raffle form, leave a number where you can be reached or where
we can leave a message. Once you receive the message, please
call (978) 685-8878 to let us know you have received the message
and will be there on Sunday to pick up the tree.
When
and where can I pick up the tree I won?
You may pick up your tree at 13 Branch St., Methuen on Sunday,
December 7th from 9 am to noon. If you will be delayed beyond
11 am, please call the Festival at (978) 685-8878 to tell us
you have been delayed.
What
do I need to bring with me to pick up the tree I won?
If you won a large tree, you will most likely need a couple
of extra hands to assist you. If you plan to "undecorate"
the tree, you will need to bring boxes or bags in which to place
the decorations. Delicate items will need to be wrapped in tissue
or newspaper. Plastic wrap to wrap around the tree will be available.
Tree wrapping requires extra hands. Bring someone to help you,
and you may need someone to help you carry your tree to your
car. Large trees may need to go home in a truck.
