Guidelines for the Children’s Activities Grant

1. This program is open to any school or organization which provides valuable programs, activities and learning opportunities to the young people of our area.

2. The location of the entity applying for this grant shall not preclude it from receiving this grant.

3. The Festival of Trees, Inc. is interested in funding programs which contribute to building healthy minds and strong bodies.  Programs for the arts, athletic programs, educational opportunities, field trips which offer real education are all acceptable applications. 

4. The Festival of Trees, Inc. reserves the right to determine that an application does not meet the criteria or spirit of the grant program.  Such a determination would disallow this application being presented to the visitors of the Festival of Trees.

5. The organization awarded this grant by the Festival of Trees, Inc., must agree to joint publicity announcing the award of this grant.

6. Applying opportunities shall be notified by November 14, 2008 that their project will be presented to the visitors of the Festival of Trees.

7. The entity which receives the support of the visitors to the Festival of Trees shall be notified by December 10, 2008.

8. Voting on the presented projects will take place from November 21, 2008 through December 6, 2008 at the location of the Festival of Trees, 13 Branch Street in Methuen, Massachusetts.
