The Festival of Trees has awarded scholarships to four young people – Anyely Felix Nova, Matthew Karpowitz, Nika Nguyen, and Briannah Wheeler. This year’s recipients, each of whom will receive $1,000 from the Festival, are all graduates of Methuen High School. They will be recognized at the Festival’s Annual Meeting on June 19, 2017.
Each year, the Festival of Trees awards scholarships to worthy high school seniors. Preference is given to students who are pursuing an education which would lead to careers consistent with the Festival’s mission of historic preservation and restoration and/or those who have volunteered at the Festival throughout their high school years.
“We’re pleased to congratulate Anyely, Matthew, Nika and Briannah and we wish them all the best in their continuing education,” said Gina Lannon, Chair of the Festival’s Scholarship Committee.
