The Festival of Trees’s annual Appreciation Night featured the presentation of the 2017 Conifer Awards. Each year, the Festival presents first, second, and third place awards in 11 categories; including Most Beautiful, Most Traditional, Most Creative, Best Use of Theme, Best Use of Lighting, Best Tree Top, Best Tree Done by Children, Best Children’s Theme, Best Under Tree Display, Best Mini Tree, and Best Wreath. In addition, one tree is recognized as the “Best of the Festival!”
The awards are determined by an independent panel of judges who are not affiliated with any organization entering a tree in the Festival. The judging is conducted anonymously and without knowledge of the person, group, or organization presenting the trees and wreaths. This year’s judges – each a professional artist – were all provided by the Greater Haverhill Arts Association (GHAA).
The Festival would like to congratulate all of the winners!
