The Festival of Trees has awarded scholarships to four outstanding young people – Sean Patrick Bates, a graduate of St. John’s Preparatory School; Gregory E. Blomgren and Kailin Elizabeth Brandon, graduates of Presentation of Mary Academy; and Mildred Maria Reyes, a graduate of Methuen High School. Each honoree was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

Each year, the Festival of Trees awards scholarships to worthy high school seniors. Preference is given to students who are pursuing an education which would lead to careers consistent with the Festival’s mission of historic preservation and restoration and/or those who have volunteered at the Festival throughout their high school years. All of this year’s honorees have been volunteers at the Festival of Trees.

“We’re pleased to congratulate Sean, Gregory, Kailin, and Mildred and we wish them all the best in their continuing education,” said Gina Lannon, Chair of the Festival’s Scholarship Committee.
