Sharon Pollard is the founder of the Festival of Trees. She is a former president of the Festival and currently serves as vice president for historic preservation. Sharon also serves as a board member of the Methuen Historical Society, is a member of the Methuen Historical Commission, and an appointed member of the Methuen Preservation Committee.
A former Mayor of Methuen, Sharon was elected to four terms in the Massachusetts Senate. She also served as Secretary of Energy Resources in the Dukakis Administration. Sharon holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Dunbarton College in Washington, DC and was awarded an honorary doctorate in Public Service from North Adams State College.
