Festival Announces 2021 Will Return to In-Person Event

What a difference a year makes!  The 28th Annual Festival of Trees will open on Friday, November 19th and run through Saturday, December 4th.  The Festival Board is busy preparing for a safe and exciting Festival.

“Since the health and safety of our donors, volunteers and thousands of annual visitors is paramount to all of us, we will be implementing a series of operational changes to improve the safety of the entire experience,” said Festival president Tom Lussier.  “In addition, since we know some folks may still be reluctant to gather in large public events, we are also planning to once again present our trees online as a totally virtual Festival of Trees,” he added.

The planned changes will include:

  • Limiting attendance by implementing an online ticketing system. We will be announcing a new online tool that will allow each visitor to reserve a specific date and time to visit the Festival.
  • Expanding the ability to pre-purchase raffle tickets – including the availability of some discounted package plans. This will limit congestion at our entrances and at our other points of sale.
  • Implementing a specific ‘traffic flow’ throughout the Festival. We will be recommending a route that will reduce congestion and increase the safety of the entire experience.
  • Requiring all visitors and volunteers to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

“Prior to the actual opening of the Festival, we will be evaluating the public health requirements at the time and will take any additional precautions to ensure a healthy and enjoyable visit for everyone,” Lussier added.
