Festival Announces 2nd Annual Scavenger Hunt A ‘Tree’ Grows in Methuen!

The Festival of Trees is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Scavenger Hunt – A ‘Tree’ Grows in Methuen! – a one of a kind scavenger hunt adventure around Methuen on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Starting from the Festival’s Headquarters at 13 Branch Street, Methuen, teams of 4 – 10 participants will work to reveal clues – all related to the theme – which take them to 11 Methuen locations; the last stop includes a buffet dinner and the awarding of prizes. Bonus points are earned by special activities at each stop, posting photos on social media and collecting special items along the way. This year, an award will also be given to the team that comes in the best theme-based costume.

“Begun in 2018 as a special event to celebrate the Festival’s 25th Anniversary, we’re excited to bring this family-friendly event back by popular demand,” said Festival president Tom Lussier. “If you appreciate a challenge and enjoy an adventure, you should really gather your friends and consider participating in this unique event,” he added. Teams will drive from location to location and none of the tasks are physically intensive.

The event begins with an introduction and the first clue at 3:30 PM and continues through 6:30 PM. Dinner and awards will be presented at the last stop beginning at 6:45 PM. Tickets are $35 per person.
